MIDI is a very well established interface used in some capacity within most DAW applications.
MIDI Events can be configured in DAW applications and associated with an application's functions, such that software and hardware that can generate MIDI events to trigger these functions.
Flexi-deck implements a MIDI interface to 'Send MIDI events' using a connected MIDI device.
This allows for the creation of macros that can interact with DAW applications via their MIDI interface, as shown in the MIDI configuration below:
Load the MIDI studio
Set the IAC driver in Flexi-deck preferences
Once the MIDI device is configured in Flexi-deck preferences, the Send MIDI Event action can be utilised in macros to send MIDI events:
